1st Annual Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off

 Spice meets sophistication at Fortunata Winery’s inaugural Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off — a full day of bold flavors, spirited competition, and unforgettable vineyard vibes.

Beginning at 9:00 AM, competitors will fire up their burners and let their best recipes simmer as the winery grounds fill with the rich aroma of spices and slow-cooked chili. From authentic Texas-style Traditional (No Beans) chili to creative freestyle recipes and crowd-favorite Frito Pie entries, cooks will compete for cash prizes, awards, and ultimate bragging rights. Live music by Kindle Hunt from 6:00–9:00 PM will keep the energy going into the evening.

Guests are invited to purchase a $10 tasting wristband, which includes chili tastings and the opportunity to cast a vote in the People’s Choice category beginning at 1:00 PM.

While the competition heats up, relax with Fortunata’s award-winning wines, refreshing sangria, and our full tasting room menu available throughout the day. It’s the perfect pairing — bold chili, rich reds, and a beautiful winery setting.
